HISTORY
1985
Creation of Domaine du Grand Mayne by wine lovers: Andrew & Edwina Gordon. Following long surveys and precise soil studies, Domaine du Grand Mayne had the right environment for a Grand Cru with terroirs similar to both Saint-Emilion (limestone) and Pomerol (clay). The ambition became bigger than the budget. Wineshare was then created: a wine club where one contributes directly to the Domaine… It was an immense success, with up to 5000 members in the 90ies
